Our Lady of Light School

The Nuestra Señora de la Luz Technical Vocational School, located in the Santiago Oeste Municipal District (Cienfuegos), was founded in 2002 by Reverend Father Ramón Dubert.

Initially, the school offered computer and English courses sponsored by Cáritas Dominicana. Later, agreements were established with the National Institute for Technical and Professional Training (INFOTEP) to provide technical programs in electricity, accounting, secretarial studies, and more. These agreements remain in place, and additional courses have been introduced for the benefit of the community.

As an institution affiliated with the Catholic Church, it possesses full legal personality in the civil sphere, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 117 of 1931, ratified by Law No. 390 of 1943, and Article IV of the Concordat signed between the Holy See and the Dominican State in July 1954.

Forming values involves fostering relationships with others and contributing to the overall well-being of the Cienfuegos community through our programs. Some of the core values we strive to instill include solidarity, tolerance, respect, justice, dialogue, and peace.
