Community Education for Disease Prevention and Management
- Recruitment, training, and coordination of leaders and young volunteers to conduct home visits, educating the population on disease prevention.
Our Goal
We aim to improve the health conditions of the most vulnerable individuals in diverse communities within the Archdiocese of Santiago by implementing a primary healthcare system that includes education, promotion, prevention, and services.
Services We Provide
- Medication Sales: Available through more than 47 Community Pharmacies.
- Medical Consultations: Offered in 15 Medical Dispensaries.
- Dental Care: Provided in 2 Dental Clinics.
- Community Education: Focused on disease prevention and management.
- Volunteer Coordination: Recruitment, training, and management of leaders and young volunteers to carry out home visits and educate the population.
- Capacity-Building Activities: Workshops, talks, yard cleaning, mosquito-breeding site removal, home visits, and medical outreach operations benefiting over 2,500 families annually.
- Collaboration Efforts: Partnerships with community volunteers, healthcare professionals, and public and private entities.
