The “Happy Childhood” program (programa “Infancia Feliz”) was initiated by Fr. Ramón Dubert, who, concerned about the vulnerability and malnutrition of children living in impoverished neighborhoods of Santiago, decided to start this program in the year 2000.
Currently, the program operates 13 childcare centers, serving more than 2,000 children.

The Caritas organization believes that more can be done for those in need and vulnerable communities. That’s why they work diligently and with dedication to address the needs and circumstances of the disadvantaged, protect the rights of the weak, and provide poor communities with the tools they need to build new lives.
